ㅤTinkeringㅤ As mentioned earlier , aidan's a tinkerer/engineer by trade, having been trained at the skysteel manufactory, he's always fucking with some form of machinery, and could take all sorts of jobs and commissions. perhaps you approach him in regards to that. final product not guaranteed to... be functional. (common).
ㅤFlirtㅤ there's no denying it,and there's no way around it- he's a flirt. he will flirt with your character, whether interested in anything past small talk or not. will it go anywhere past flirting? unlikely. what is he doing all that for, then? well... you wouldn't share your secrets now, would you? ㅤSocial Smokerㅤ man's always down for a smoke and the accompanied small talk, and he's a very social smoker at that. watch your pockets, though, he's notorious for nabbing lighters handed to him. (common)
ㅤEndless Debtㅤ aidan used to be notoriously bad with money, to the point where he owes gil to more people than he can count. This leads him to do a lot of shady favors for gil, which he's constantly dealing with the repercussions of. perhaps you approach him in regards to debt, or you have a job for him to pay back in some way. (uncommon)
ㅤOdd Aetherㅤ those sensitive to aether fluctuations, or those with aethersight, would notice that his isn't particularly pure. there's an air of corruption to it, one that usually accompanies voidsent. it is incredibly faint, though, due to the creature's weakness. you'd have to be /incredibly/ keen to notice it. (uncommon).
ㅤVampirismㅤ as hinted previously, aidan has a pact with a voidsent. a weak one. he's bound to a tiny, pathetic, infant imp. however, it's still a voidsent, one that requires him to feed it aether frequently. and what a better way than right out of another person? if he goes without, the voidsent he's bound to will claim his part of the trade. Should you wish to help, he wouldn't refuse. and if desperate enough, he might try his luck regardless. (common)
ㅤClockwork Companionㅤ as he walks into a place, you can hear the turning of gears and clacking of machinery. And as you search for the source, your eyes land on a little mammet. innocent little thing, just a cute little critter made of gears. this one seems to be more... sentient than the usual mammet, though, seemingly having its own personality and displaying a lot of emotions. is it... actually a mammet? or is /something/ controlling it? (common)

ㅤCharmerㅤ aidan's relatively laid back, his presence is calming and soft spoken in a way that commands the attention of the other party involved, too, as if both of them are in a bubble. usually just silently taking things around them in , if at all, and focusing on private conversations regardless of his location, be it a social setting or an intimate one.
ㅤFlirtatiousㅤ as stated in his hooks, he's a huge flirt, and i can not stress this enough. aidan's always making small flirty remarks towards those who pique his interest, and even those who don't. more often than not they are hollow words, though, ones said with enough confidence to sound and seem genuine. you gotta build raport, y'know?
ㅤCold Feetㅤ like... literally, he's not originally ishgardian, and does not handle the cold well, especially once he finishes working up a sweat at his job and realizes how cold it actually is outside as his body temperature drops again. this applies to many things, though; he is quick to withdraw if a situations gets serious -in any context-, nobody's got time for that. it also is why he picked up smoking. it warms up his lungs in the bitter cold, and provides easy conversation starters. win/win.
ㅤMediocrityㅤ he's relatively mediocre at his job, don't expect good engineering if you approach him for work, but he's trying his best; it's just not enough. hell, even the voidsent he made a deal with is a pathetic infant imp. good for them.

LORE/BACKSTORY IS A WIP AS I WRITE IT OUT STILL
tl/dr: ul'dahn born midlander who used to tinker with a lot of stuff as a child, causing a whole lot of chaos from homemade pipebombs to malfunctioning equipment, and was sent to ishgard to study machinery properly so he stops being a menace to society.he has been there since, tinkering with things from guns to bikes, to even mammets. are they.... good? no, not at all. but hey, they work. don't ask why that mammet walks funny.along the way, though, he's found himself in a deal with the devil, literally. the devil might be the most pathetic little imp but it still requires him to feed it, and boy does he pack some fangs under those pretty lips.that's the quick rundown, otherwise i shall write a proper lore page for him very soon!
